i am buying a digital SLR for sports ,scenery and portrait photography can anyone tell me what i need to look for or reccommend a camera or even a make of camera
What are you failing to realize is that how good the camera does portraits, sports, and landscapes depends on the lens you have mounted on the camera. The kit lens isn't going to do all of those things, at least to my satisfaction. How much are you willing to spend? That is very important when choosing a Digital SLR. It's a good starter camera. Canon and Nikon are the best brands to choose from, at least in my eyes. You will have to buy a few different lenses for portraits, and sports. The 18-55mm lens is a slow one, not good for sports, and not the best for portraits. Get the 50mm f/1.8 lens on the side. As for a sports lens, you will have to save quite a bit more.
